As a member of the business community here at Perkins Moving and Storage we realize that it is our responsibility to set a good example for our community. That's why we have implemented a few changes in the way we operate our business. We are now a paperless office the only paper we use is for our contracts the day of the move. We have also started a recycling program for the Tucson community. We will pick up any used boxes and provide them to our customers to alleviate some of the waste caused by packing materials that could be used over again. We encourage all Tucson movers to join us in the this recycling program together we can save a lot of trees and make Tucson a greener place to live. Tucson moves are usually easy ones because most houses are ground level and we have the equipment to put the furniture on so it all rolls right along pretty quickly. Today was one of the easier moves it was moving from a one bedroom apartment on the first floor and the truck could back right up to the apartment so it only took about 30min to load. Offloading is always easier than loading and on this job it was very easy the drop off was a one bedroom apartment on the first floor again and the truck could back up right to that door also. It took about 15min to offload which was fast even for us. All in all it was a pretty easy job but it goes to show if you have the right equipment and the right people behind that equipment the job gets done quick and you save money.

The end of the month is always a busy time for Tucson movers partly because leases end at the end of the month and most people would like to start off in there new home at the beginning of the month. I know a lot of companies take off on Sunday but here at Perkins we know that Sunday is a great day to get things done laundry, homework ,getting moving quotes etc . That’s why we are available on Sundays from 6am until 6pm. everyone knows the week is a busy time so why not put your slippers on sit in your favorite chair and take your time to get a moving quote. Just finished another short haul today  from Tucson a one bedroom apartment on the second floor to a third floor apartment in Scottsdale. Scottsdale is a very nice place we just opened another office in Phoenix I think we might just move to Scottsdale I have not seen that much green grass since I lived in Maryland.

Christmas is almost here!!!!! I Just want to wish all of our Tucson neighbors a very Merry Christmas from your friend in the moving business. There are a lot of moving and storage company's in Tucson AZ and they all provide the same kinds of services packing,unpacking,loading,unloading, etc. If you price movers you will also notice something else they all have in common the price. If not the same price than pretty close to it. So this leads me to my next question how do you choose the right mover for you. Well the first thing I would suggest is to ask questions always remember your the customer you have the right to ask questions about your move. Ask for references this is an important part of finding a mover you can trust if there are no references that's a pretty good sigh that you should not use the mover. If no one can refer them something is wrong. Next tip is the most important the internet is full of important information. Moving in Tucson AZ is a fast paced business. The city is getting bigger and bigger by the day and all the little towns around us are even getting bigger. There are a lot of big houses and even bigger businesses. The one thing I love about Tucson is that no matter how big it gets you never loose that small town feel. For the most part people are very nice and willing to help a fellow neighbor. That's why when I started my business I made a promise to my self that I will always remember where I came from and the city where I started. That's why I make sure that ever customers job is treated with professionalism and ever customer is treated like a neighbor. When I started Perkins Moving and Storage I knew I would have to choose a slogan that best fits our business and the way we want our customers to feel when they think about us. After a long search I found it I think it speaks a great deal about how I want my office to operate and how I want our customers to feel once we set the last piece of furniture in there new home.

Moving Tucson

 

One thing you will notice when you do moves in Tucson is that Tucson is getting bigger by the day. Recently a Ritz-Carlton Resort was added in the Dove Mountain area of Tucson. Dove Mountain is a Fast Growing Golf Community just north of Tucson. There are a few empty shops downtown but even downtown is getting a nice make over. I think it is starting to look a little like Phoenix with all the painted free way on-ramps but that's a good thing better than looking at a concrete wall any day.

    Finished our first short haul on Saturday. A short haul is a move that is over one hour from the pick up address to the destination address. The short haul we did on Saturday was from Tucson AZ to Eloy AZ its about an hour and fifteen minutes north of Tucson AZ about half way to Phoenix AZ. It was a 3 bedroom move from a storage unit to a two bedroom house so it was a pretty easy move the equipment did most of the work. Eloy AZ is a small town golf community with a lot of green grass.
